Something about the cooler weather makes me want to work with fabric, texture, thread, and yarn. Here is a sneak peak of what I am working on for the upcoming Yellow Springs Street Fair.

In addition to all the fun paintings I will have Messanger Bags with my images! Fun!! I am so excited! I made a protype for myself about a month ago and have been getting so many compliments, which, no matter what, always makes you feel good. They are fun, whimsical and I love using mine! My laptop slides right into the larger one, and I really love that.

I can't wait to get them all together and finished up and have them available for the festival.

This is almost all of a new commissioned piece for a dear friend. The 4 trees represent the family. The small one on the left is the hope for a boy... there is some blue in the tree, and the small one on the right represents the girl who is here, there is some lavender in this tree.


I listened to a lot of jazz/ love themed songs out of New Orleans ( www.wwoz.org ) to keep the mood right. Absolutely I enjoyed doing this and putting lots of love into as well.

The dad, who I have yet to meet, hopefully one day, is a lover of Autumn in Ohio. I actually started this in November, but was forcing it and ended up painting over it. Underneath what you see is a new underpainting.... Just some play with lines, hearts, shapes and positive words. Then with a deep breath and some prayful words,, I was off and really enjoyed this!

i need to revisit some old friends, older works of mine and if I am lucky, I have pictures. I wasn't so good at documenting my work a couple years ago.

Miss Dee Tagged me... And It Made me THINK.. What Do I do to Keep My Mind and Life Balanced every day.
Some things are Easy...
1. Paint or Create something! I try to get my hands in it everyday.
2. Keep Good Company.. Friends in life and Bloggers like Dee who have become friends.
3. Pray.
4. Spend Time with my dogs. A good walk or throwing the toys does wonders for me.
5. ummmm.... Exercise... ok, not as much now as it is COLD out! But, the intention is there everday! ;)
